This Wyvern, a serpent-bird, is inspired by the stylized dragon
images found in knotwork art from the Irish book of Kells.
Your dragon will fly from the ceiling or on the wall. It's
dog-like face is a mask made with trapunto quilting methods as a
separate piece which is sewn to the body. It has painted eyes
and claws, wired tongue, cloth teeth, and 36 " tail wired to bend
into any shape you wish! With basic sewing skills you can
create your own dragon using the complete illustrated instructions
and patterns with detailed notations. The package includes
layout suggestions, fabric selection tips, tools you can make, extra
sewing and stuffing tips, plus a page on dragon lore from worldwide
literature and tradition. It is easier to sew than Melinda's Original
Dragon Pattern. |
